![]() If there is not one then there should be as I think that Zynthian has generated a lot of sales for Modartt – but looking through the Modartt user forum it does not seem like this will be likely. And since I only heard about pianoteq when I started up my Zynthian I wondered if there is a Pianoteq referral link (or promo code) I can use that would benefit the Zynthian team / founders and/or for the benefit the Zynthian project. I have decided to purchase the stage version of Pianoteq. It sits on top of my piano perfectly and the Zynthian knobs make it so much more convenient than messing about with a mouse and laptop which does not fit properly on the piano anyway. One marvelous surprise to me is the demo of pianoteq as it has completely rejuvenated my old Roland RP101 piano and I really was not expecting this. I often will take a screen movie recording of the GUI or just the keyboard at the bottom to illustrate stuff to students.Īnyhow I don’t work for Pianoteq, just very into the plug-in.This is my very first post as I have just purchased and assembled a Zynthian Kit v4.4 and I am absolutely stunned about how good it is. Plus, if you have any kind of verifiable teaching position or are a student you can get the discount which is a whopping 40% off all purchases. And the old pianos are amazing.Īlso, the fact that it’s boots almost instantly and records and easily exports whatever you play makes it a great writing tool without having to launch a DAW. Not only the acoustic pianos but the electric stuff and vibes and harp too. And the randomise button yields some amazing things. Not only are all the pianos fantastic and also completely different in character but the ability to change every aspect of the sound and response is incredible. The more I use it the more I’m impressed with it’s potential. I’m currently a Pianoteq addict to the exclusion of pretty much all my other piano libraries (which are the NI ones). But to me, it's only what works best in an arrangement and in a mix. (Although I think I have too many.) Perhaps if people are doing piano-only compositions, then the endless VI:Control debates on best piano might make more sense. I think it's good to have a few pianos on hand. I'm a fan of the Austrian Grand that comes with it and I really love the KeySuite Digital instruments. The main difference is that Keysuite has many different acoustic pianos, whereas Keyscape only has one. The only library I know that can compare with Keyscape is UVI's KeySuite, which is an attempt at doing something very similar. And of course, you are in the Spectrasonics ecosystem, and you have infinite numbers of sounds to combine with from Omni and Trilian, if you have them. This is just the beginning, as Keyscape is integrated into Omnisphere, and comes with the Keyscape Creative Library of 1200 patches that combine Keyscape and Omnisphere. It comes with many hybrid versions of these instruments. So yes, it has a Yamaha C7 piano, with many useful presets, but also a bunch of Rhodes and Wurlis, Pianet, Celeste, Chimetron, Dulcitone, many Clavs, Electric Harpsichord, toy piano, etc., and the MKS-20, MK-80 and JD-800 pianos. "Keyscape" is called "scape" as in landscape of keyboard sounds.
